Our program philosophy is based on the principles of Emergent Curriculum and the belief that young children do their best learning through outdoor play. While children explore their outdoor environment, they’ll have the opportunity to focus on the things they find interesting while our teachers support their learning through observation, encouragement, and gentle guidance.
While we do not structure our day into traditional school subjects, all of these subjects (and more!) are naturally incorporated into children’s daily learning. A single outdoor discovery, such as a bug, bone, or leaf, might inspire conversations about counting, colors, biology, and physics.

“Active free play – particularly in the outdoors – is absolutely the most beneficial gift we as parents, teachers, and caregivers can bestow on our children to ensure healthy bodies, creative minds, academic success, emotional stability and strong social skills.”
